Growing up I’ve had a few sketchy moments on the playground during recess. That stereotypical “gimme your lunch money!” interaction never happened to me (we all had free lunch growing up in the Cleveland Public School system), but I’ve definitely had more than my fair share of scuffles. Can’t Stop is a “Press Your Luck” style game that the whole family can play where a player rolls 4 dice, breaks them into two groups of two and either places runners on the board or advances runners on the board. If he can’t do either, his turn ends and all progress made that turn is lost. At any time he can stop and lock in his gains. Be the 1st player to capture three numbers win the game. It is a quite simple game with a simple mechanic that can be played in about 30 minutes. (more…)

Power Grid is an economic network building board game with an auction component. The game can be played with 2–6 players, but plays best with 4 or 5. Power Grid is a medium heavy to heavy game which takes about 2 to 2.5 hours to play.
